Now a team of researchers from Southampton University have found that if the mother has a diet rich in saturated fat during pregnancy can cause serious problems in their child in the liver.

Specifically, the scientists, led by Professor Christopher Byrne, found that children of mothers who had consumed too much fat during pregnancy were more likely to develop non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
